Responsibilities:
The UI/UX Artist’s primary responsibilities will include designing and building storyboards, generating proof-of-concept mockups, and working with art and engineering in implementation of the user interfaces for multiple game projects including rich/thick client, browser-based, and smartphone games. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in visual design, strong game UI/UX sensibilities, outstanding "people" skills, and a longstanding passion for playing games of multiple genres and platforms.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership experience.
Absolute Passion for playing and making computer games.
Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to define and create UI elements, mock-ups, storyboards, and wireframes in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with software and tools needed to create assets across a range of engines and technologies.
Deep understanding of user experience and gameplay fundamentals.
Ability to work closely with project team members to execute design and work through design revisions as needed.
3+ years game design experience including UI Design experience on a shipped product.
Desired
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
Experienced in designing or playing casual/social games.
Experienced in designing or playing table-top games and TCGs.
Non-design development experience (as an artist, sound designer, programmer, etc).
Mind Control Software is located in beautiful Marin County, twenty minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
